Besides establishing testing standards, NSF(USA) is well-known for providing objective, independent, and credible product testing and certification services. Enterprises can apply certifications for products that meet NSF standards. In the United States, drinking water system components manufactured after August 6, 1988 must comply with NSF NO. 61 standards- the amount of lead, heavy metals, and organic materials released when the product is being used are carefully measured. #rubbersealing #Oring #repairkits #enginevalveseal #sizingcone #Xring #BackupRing #moldedgasket #rubberseals

We drink and contact with lots of water every day. Therefore, rubber materials used in drinking water are relatively important from the aspects of safety and sanitation, and certified materials are the most suitable choices. Regarding drinking water certification, there are some well-known organizations in the world, such as NSF (USA), WRAS (UK), KTW (Germany), KIWA (Netherland), ACS (France). #rubber #oring #ascendsealing

Life in the US is closely related to automobilessedans, SUVs, light trucks, coupes, etc. No matter whichever type of vehicle you own, car maintenance and repair are inevitable and should be take seriously. Now, there is a leak in your car’s engine oil filter because the rubber seal doesn’t work anymore, and you’d like to purchase the O-ring yourself online to save some bucks. Which material will you choose? Tough question, right? Not quite. As long as you get a brief ...image on the chemical compatibility of each common sealing material, selecting the right option would be a lot easier. Let’s take a look at this chart. As you can see, sealing materials are classified into two categories according to their polarization characteristic. If the material itself is non-polar, that means it works well with polar substances, such as water. On the other hand, a polar material will fit nicely with non-polar fluids, such as mineral oils and fuels/biofuels. So, has the answer come into your mind? Yes, in this case, you can expect polar materials like NBR, HNBR, ACM/AEM, or PU, will be a better choice for the seal in your car’s engine oil filter! We will go through some common applications in automotive parts in our next post, so come and check it out then! #rubber #sealing #rubberseals #polarization #chemicalcompetibility #NBR #HNBR #PU #ACM #AEM #IIR #FKM #EPDM #SBR #Mineraloil #fuel #biofuel #water #Ethanol #Methanol #automobile #automotiveparts #automotiveindustry
