Love and want to make your own? Join us today! We're open for the Fall 2020 semester. https://asae.berkeley.edu/
It was a pleasure hosting the National Air and Space Intelligence Center on the 19th. We're glad to have helped raise awareness on how Berkeley students can contribute to national security while pursuing a career at NASIC!
Interested in aerospace? Want to learn how to build an aircraft from scratch? Come talk to us on lower Sproul during Calapalooza, happening RIGHT NOW until 7PM! We have our competition plane Cal-5 all spruced up for the event.
COME SEE CAL AERO SAE AT CALAPALOOZA! We will be tabling at Calapalooza on Thursday, August 30th from 3PM to 7PM on Sproul Plaza. Come talk to us if you'd like to see our competition plane Cal-5 and find out more about the club. Cal Aero SAE is a student club at UC Berkeley that designs, manufactures, and flies remote-controlled aircraft. Each academic year, we aim to compete in the SAE Aero Design competition, attended by universities from across the US and even abroad, as t...he representative team of UC Berkeley. As a member, you will have ample opportunities to learn about aerospace engineering and contribute to the team through your field of interest. We are currently recruiting for all positions within the team, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, operations, and test pilots. Cal Aero SAE is proudly sponsored by large aerospace companies such as Boeing and Northrop Grumman, as well as software developers such as SolidWorks and ANSYS.
Selected photos from ASAE's competition at Fort Worth, Texas, from March 10th - 12th. Overall, 18 members in attendance. Highlight of the competition was a 5th place Flight Score finish out of 34 Regular Class teams!
The Aerospace SAE team with its plane, the Cal-5, after a successful day of flying! Carrying a cargo of nearly 20 lbs, the Cal-5 flew reliably all throughout competition and ended up placing 5th place out of 34 teams for flight.
Dr. Jon Arenberg comes to UC Berkeley to talk to students about his experiences in aerospace engineering and challenges in the field.
Warm wishes and a Happy Birthday to our very own wing team lead Kuldeep Bista! Stay cool Kuldeep! #happybirthday #deeplycool #coollikekuldeep
Hello everybody! Just a reminder that this event will be taking place tomorrow! 2 important notes: -Event time has been shortened! It will be from 5:30 PM to 7 PM, please see the finalized schedule in the event details.... -Location of event has been finalized! The whole event will take place in 375 LeConte. Thanks and see you soon :)
Interested in aerospace, physics, or astronomy? On Thursday, October 20th, we will be hosting Jon Arenberg from Northrop Grumman, the Chief Engineer of the James Webb Telescope. Join us in the evening for dinner and insights from one of the top physicists in aerospace industry! The Webb, as the successor to the Hubble Space Telescope, will be the largest telescope ever launched! This infrared telescope will be able to search for the first galaxies ever formed, give insight into the chemical origins of life, and find newly forming planetary systems!
Hello everybody! We're once again competing at the Aero Design West competition to carry simulated 'passengers and luggage' this coming March! However, this year, the competition is held in Fort Worth, Texas, instead of Van Nuys in southern California. This is where we need your help! Every contribution is valuable, and you can rest assured knowing your gift will help us take off (quite literally)! Your contribution will directly help sustain the efforts of Berkeley's aerospace engineers as we lay the foundation for a growing aerospace presence on campus. Please make a gift today and help spread the word about our project! We are already almost 20% funded! https://crowdfund.berkeley.edu/project/2642
