COME SEE CAL AERO SAE AT CALAPALOOZA! We will be tabling at Calapalooza on Thursday, August 30th from 3PM to 7PM on Sproul Plaza. Come talk to us if you'd like to see our competition plane Cal-5 and find out more about the club. Cal Aero SAE is a student club at UC Berkeley that designs, manufactures, and flies remote-controlled aircraft. Each academic year, we aim to compete in the SAE Aero Design competition, attended by universities from across the US and even abroad, as t...he representative team of UC Berkeley. As a member, you will have ample opportunities to learn about aerospace engineering and contribute to the team through your field of interest. We are currently recruiting for all positions within the team, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, operations, and test pilots. Cal Aero SAE is proudly sponsored by large aerospace companies such as Boeing and Northrop Grumman, as well as software developers such as SolidWorks and ANSYS.

Interested in aerospace, physics, or astronomy? On Thursday, October 20th, we will be hosting Jon Arenberg from Northrop Grumman, the Chief Engineer of the James Webb Telescope. Join us in the evening for dinner and insights from one of the top physicists in aerospace industry! The Webb, as the successor to the Hubble Space Telescope, will be the largest telescope ever launched! This infrared telescope will be able to search for the first galaxies ever formed, give insight into the chemical origins of life, and find newly forming planetary systems!

Hello everybody! We're once again competing at the Aero Design West competition to carry simulated 'passengers and luggage' this coming March! However, this year, the competition is held in Fort Worth, Texas, instead of Van Nuys in southern California. This is where we need your help! Every contribution is valuable, and you can rest assured knowing your gift will help us take off (quite literally)! Your contribution will directly help sustain the efforts of Berkeley's aerospace engineers as we lay the foundation for a growing aerospace presence on campus. Please make a gift today and help spread the word about our project! We are already almost 20% funded! https://crowdfund.berkeley.edu/project/2642
