We are thrilled to present the merger of the celebrated non-profit organization, SAN JOSE YOUTH BALLET, and the new San Jose Ballet Academy. Now known as San Jose Youth Ballet, our intention is to elevate, simplify, and streamline both organizations into one, so as to better serve our community. We are pleased to announce that our teachers Xavier Ferla and Olga Iakovlevskaya are the recipients of Youth America Grand Prix’s Outstanding Teacher award. We congratulate Zoe Ferla for winning the coveted Youth Grand Prix for her Classical and Contemporary pieces. Charlize Hardwick received a special invitation to perform her 2nd Place Contemporary piece in the NY Finals. She also placed Top 12 in Classical. Adrina Hsieh placed Top 12 in her Contemporary piece. All contemporary pieces in these competitions were choreographed by our own Maggie Parungao-Ferla.

We humbly announce that after only 4 months of being open, our SJ Ballet Academy's Ms Olga and Mr Ferla received the Best Teacher award. Congratulations to Adrina, Charlize, and Zoe for their various Top 12 and Top 3 classical and contemporary awards. Zoe also earned the coveted Grand Prix award! Thank you to YAGP founders, judges, artistic team, parents, and fellow participants for a fantastic competition weekend. Cheers to 20 years of ensuring the future of dance!
