I took this collage to the framers today. Before the pandemic I went to Florida for a week to help my brother in law organize his piles of paperwork. Bart is a loner who dedicated his life to taking care of his parents. In the bottom of his storage area we found a trunk filled with mementos from his time in Antarctica. A great adventure for him as a geologist. Rather than have these memories hidden in the dust I decided to make a collage for him.

Sunrise Lauderdale by the Sea. Sleeping on the balcony with the sound of the waves. Awoken by the fingers of dawn that expand into the morning sunrise.
