It's that time again for our annual Christmas recital. Tickets go on sale TODAY for both shows December 16th & 17th at Monteleone Meadows. Don't miss this once in lifetime outdoor Christmas recital to get you in the Christmas Spirit. Tickets are just $20 each and seats are not assigned so you can choose where you want to sit. We will also have concessions available and you can eat them during the show.

Meet our NEW teacher of the week Daylen! Daylen is also one of our seniors this year and he has taken over 3 hip hop classes. He will be helping to cultivate our newest set of dancers. Daylen officially started dancing at 9 years old but he says he has danced all his life because it has always been his passion. He does everything from Hip hop, to ballet and contemporary, because every good dancer knows that being well rounded helps you improve, even in your favorite style of... dance. Daylen's favorite part about dancing is that he does it for himself. Not anyone else, but himself, which shows in his unique personality when he's on stage. Daylen is most looking forward to seeing the growth in his new students and the growth of himself in being a choreographer. He's challenging himself this year to really push growth in each one of his students and himself. Daylen says that he finds inspiration in anything and everything. "I feel that there's inspiration everywhere. Even in the darkest times and the brightest. " Fun Fact about Daylen! You can never take him seriously!

Meet our NEW teacher of the week, Kira! Kira has been a student at Artistic Dance Academy since she was almost 7 years old. She's a Junior at Vista Murrieta High school and she absolutely loves her dog Lady. She started dancing when she was 2, after seeing Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses. Once she saw that movie, she never came down off of her toes and has dreamed of being a dancer ever since. Kira has been an assistant to Nicole and Lauren for 3 years and is now being... entrusted with teaching her own class, Teen Ballet 1 on Wednesdays at 6:45-7:45. Kira says her favorite thing about teaching is that she gets to put her own ideas into a dance. She says she loves dancing because "She can express her emotions without having to talk. I'm not very good at taking about my emotions. I can also stop thinking about school, deadlines, and tests." She's a little nervous about teaching people her own age, but Nicole has shaped and molded her for years. She knows what Nicole wants out of her students and is prepared to get them ready. Eric says about Kira's class "I love it! It's a really relaxing class after much louder classes." Fun Fact about Kira....She wants to be an Environmental Engineer and loves all animals. She can often be found helping a bug out of the studio before someone steps on them. #ADAfamily #registrationtime #ballet

At ADA we cultivate a studio of encouragement and support for all our dancers. Here you can see it on the faces of our older students and teachers. At ADA, our teachers are always right behind you and guiding you. Sometimes, thats even on stage. Miss Lauren not only choreographed this beautiful number, but she also danced it with her students.

Bonus post! Our person of the week is studio manager Donna! Donna is Nicole's Mom and she runs this ship. Nicole may handle all the dance side of things, but if you need to know anything else, you need Donna. She is the rock of ADA. She handles everything from ordering costumes, to sitting on the computer early in the morning to enter the theater lottery for recital, and all our day to day operations which are perfectly orchestrated by Donna. She loves each of our kids like ...her own. She may not be a dance teacher but she teaches our kids to pick up their bags, keeps them on schedule, and helps us parents with our millions of questions. When her girl decided to buy ADA, Donna was secretly excited. She was getting her daughter back home because being away from her was hard while Nicole was working professionally in other countries. Like every good mother, she knew it was Nicole's dream to own a studio and she was ready to help. When we say ADA is like family, Donna holds out her arms and wraps all of us in her family. She is our ultimate Dance Mom. Donna says the most difficult part of taking over the studio was finding a location that was in a good spot and investing in putting in the right flooring for a dance studio. ADA had grown from 1 studio to 3 in the 13 years since they took over. We've grown from 40 students to almost 200 family members and that's all because of Donna and Nicole's love of dance. If you're ever in the studio and hear Nicole yelling "Judy", she's calling for Donna. It's a reference to a Friend's episode and Donna laughs every time. They have such a beautiful Mother/Daughter relationship and their love is very apparent to anyone who knows them. Donna said "She loves watching the growth in each student and celebrating their accomplishments with them." We are so lucky to have her to watch over our kids at the studio. Fun fact: Donna wanted to be a PE teacher when she was younger. She loves gardening and the beach. They are her therapy from Nicole and the studio.
