Here is a quick review of puppet handling techniques with finger plays!

Circle time ENGAGEMENT tip of the day: When we are back in the classroom doing The Very Busy Spider, Collect all the farm animals from the class like Jamie did (OR let the children make some at the art table). Give one to each child. They get to listen quietly for their animal's sound and then call out the animal name. It's a participation token allowing them something to fiddle with that's connected to the story and isn't your puppets!

We love learning about JUNGLE ANIMALS!

Frogs and Ducks!!! PRO TIP: Just like Jamie did, when we keep the frogs, ducks or other visual aids in view, we help children see all the compositions of 5 (or 10 or 7 etc.) AND we practice conservation of number. This way we really help build fluency in operations within 5 (or 10 or 7 etc.)

I can't wait to go look up in the sky today!! Pro Tip: Static Electricity helps Felt stick to Felt! You can rub your felt pieces on the felt board to increase the static they have and stick better!

PRO TIP - Store your rainbow arcs flat between two pieces of poster board!... did you know that rainbows are actually complete circles?! We just can't see the other side from down here on the ground. but from the air, you would see the full circle!
