Margaret Gallagher @margaretgallagherart is an intrepid explorer, biophile, and artist. We recently expanded our online shop (artemisianurseryonlineshop.com) to include some of her prints! Her illustrations of the natural world are lovingly rendered, delicately detailed, and sometimes darkly observant. Angeles national forest. She showed me to a seep replete with both rare and common beauties: mountain mint (Pycnanthemum) and monkey flower (Erythranthe), stream orchid (Epipactis) and bog orchid (Platanthera), and a stand of lemon lilies (Lillian parryi). As we were hiking in we also saw the retreating hindquarters of a pair of foxes. The whole experience was an absolute treat.
