The ECF Art Centers are closed until at least April 3rd due to effects of the coronavirus. . This picture doesn't do justice to the amount of thought, support, planning, and packing our staff have done to prepare ECF artists for this long time out of the studio. . Artists got to go home with supplies and some will have supplies delivered to them, along with familiar items from their work station and project plans so they can set up a mini studio at home and have a slice of no...rmalcy during this Covid-19 outbreak. . . . This unique screening and reception will also honor National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (NDDAM), which is celebrated each year to raise awareness, recognize the contributions of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and celebrate the richness of an inclusive society. CREATIVITY UNLIMITED a short film created by artists from ECF Art Centers and UCP of Los Angeles . . ECF Art Centers (@art_ecf) and UCP of Los Angeles (@ucpla) are pleased to invite you to a public screening of Creativity Unlimited, a short film created by four artists from two progressive art studios in Southern California. Through in-studio interviews Marilyn Schmidt (ECF), James Basilio (ECF), Chris Brown (UCPLA), and Joanna Krall Wilkins (UCPLA) discuss what inspires them..., their art making process, and unique creative drive while giving just a glimpse of their vast portfolios of work. The artists connect with each other through a shared perspective on community and life in their studios. The film was created with guidance and support from Otis College of Art and Design Alumna and former ECF Supervisor Eugenia Barbuc (@eugeniabarbuc). The screening will also include a series of shorts made by artists from both studios, followed by a Q & A and reception. Refreshments provided. .
