Eventhough the actual air temperature is cooler here in the mountains versus some other areas in So. Cal., the temperatures on the streets and decks could be too warm for your pets paws. And, our fuzzy friends can also get heat exaustion when out on the boats or on a hike. Not leaving your fuzzy family member in a parked car is a no-brainer, even in the shade. Read through these tips and share with others.

Please, please, please consider your "fuzzy family member's" safety this weekend. Afrer the 4th of JUly, the shelter systems will be FULL of animals who were frightened and disoriented and became separated from their families. Dogs have been known to jump through closed windows due in a reaction to the noise. They could also jump off a deck here in the mountains. Please keep them safely contained.

Please take a moment today to show your honor and respect to those who have fallen to keep our Country free.

This is one of the many reasons I love living in the mountains! Most days in May and June there will be a cloud layer in the lowlands and it will be gorgeous and sunny up here on the hill. Come up for some sunshine!
