September is Life Insurance Awareness month, so let's talk about it! If anything this year has taught me is to expect the unexpected. If the unexpected happens to you or your family, are you prepared? The best day to apply for life insurance is TODAY. What many people don't know is you CAN use life insurance while you are still alive. The sooner we get you a policy, the sooner you can use your benefits.

I am praying hard this morning for the firefighters and all of my friends, family and clients that are being affected by these fires. To ALL, if you are evacuated, please make sure to only grab the important and irreplaceable such as: -Photos -Important Documents -Prescriptions ... -Computers and hard drives -Jewelry -Heirlooms -Take a photo of EACH ROOM before you evacuate so you can remember exactly what needs to be replaced. If you have lost your home, contact your insurance company IMMEDIATELY and ask what funds are available to be advanced for living expenses. If you need to find a place to stay, do that immediately as there will be many families in the same situation with limited resources. It’s hard to believe that it’s been 11 YEARS (!!!) this month since my first day with Farmers Insurance. Then and now... a picture at my first desk and here I am today at my own office! It’s crazy to think about but I have been blessed. I have worked for some amazing agents and district managers along the way. I’ve been the youngest in many rooms and I’ve also been one of a few females. It hasn’t been easy, and some days it still isn’t, but each day I wake up grateful for the opportunity to be a business owner and the legacy that I am building for my family. Of course I wouldn’t be here without my clients support and I thank you all for that!

Does your insurance agent have standards or are they only out to make the sale? One thing I have always been adamant about is educating my clients. At the end of the day, if you don’t end up switching to me, I still want you to leave better and more educated then when you first contacted me. I tell my clients, No all of the time, because as an expert, it’s my job! I’m not here to scam you or be one of those sleazy insurance people. I’m here to help PROTECT you and your family!

This is a fact! I know it is scary and sad to think about, but why not be positively sure your family will be taken care of instead of leaving them with both heartbreak, stress and a possible financial burden they have to think about? A GoFundMe is not a sure thing, life insurance is!

Can I be honest for a second? Creating social media posts to promote a product has seemed silly and selfish in the last couple of weeks. Before the current stresses happening around us, Covid-19 took a toll on many of us. I just wanted to let you all know that your well-being whether mentally or physically matters to me. I pride myself on running my business with the intent that I will always make my clients and friends feel heard and cared for. If there is anything I can do, any help I can give, or if you'd even just like to meet for a cup of coffee to talk- please let me know. I sincerely believe coming together in unity is crucial right now. I hope you all are continuing to stay healthy and safe. Please remember my doors are open for you.
