Best view on the ranch What a beautiful fall day.

I won’t say the new chicken coop is done but Harper’s flock is getting to enjoy their new run today. Couldn’t have gotten this project off the ground without Kristen Swanson and our wonderful neighbor, Oscar. Few items left to do before we can stamp it complete, but the finish line is in sight.

Yesterday we went to TSC to pick up chicken netting for the new coop & somehow managed to come home with another dozen chicks.

Our new bull for the 2022 breeding season has arrived. Stunner will be taking over next year. Thanks to Santos Herefords for raising another handsome man for us. #santosherefordranch

It’s been an exhausting 2 weeks for grandma but Harper has had a great time with the animals. Her first visit to the ranch has gone well. My most cherished childhood memories happened right here. I hope she keeps coming back to learn, explore & enjoy the ranch.

These 3 little peppers hatched last Saturday. Mommy is very angry & protective so it’s hard to get close enough to them for a pic. She’dmake a good guard chicken. She can even growl like a dog. LOL
