Inspiration from a Queen Does anyone care? It seems at times we are screaming for help, begging to have one person listen AND understand you yet our voice and concerns fall on deaf ears. It's easy to give up, walk away, move, find another outlet.....maybe just maybe we should take a day to just breathe, let our raw emotions out, cry, scream, go for a run, punch a bag...then, write down our WHY, reconnect with who you to the situation, your reason for being there and your goals. If it makes sense to stay, stay, if it makes sense to leave, leave. No more feeling emotionally drained. Take care of yourself.

On July 4th, 1776 America gained its independence from England thus our annual celebration of today. It was not a day to celebrate the end of slavery as you know that day didn't happen till 89 years later on June 19th 1865 (Juneteenth). There is a Negro National Anthem that was written in 1919. If the person or situation is working with you to adjust and make things better, compromising on issues, and showing progress then continue to repair it. If a person or situation is continuing to give you empty promises, push back, arguments, confrontational, never holding up their end of the agreement, or creating a toxic environment, it's time to remove yourself from the situation. Some of you are in unhealthy relationships both personally and professionally. You have been repeatedly trying to repair it with no results, it's time to look at the other side of the coin and remove yourself to find a better career and/or healthier happy relationship. We alter our lives daily by our decision making; deciding to take one way to work instead of another, moving, going out/staying in, meeting someone new or breaking up with someone, no matter what it is, it was your choice. Sometimes we may feel like we made the wrong decisions because of the results that happened from it- ie sitting in traffic. Try to think of the good in it, sitting in traffic allowed you to call a friend you hadn't spoken to in a while etc. Sometimes our disasters were wake up calls to jolt us into really living and being mindful of our decisions.
