What is the best all-around airsoft gun and why? Factor in EVERYTHING from accuracy, efficiency, distance, upgradability, durability, mag capacity, ease of use, cost, cost to maintain/upkeep, looks/appearance, availability, resale value, and whatever else is important to you as an airsofter.

If you could say something to the person or people who shut down Area 48, what would you say?

What was your favorite game at Area 48? What made it your favorite?

What type of weapon(s) would you like to see in airsoft which has not been created/refined yet? Personally, I would like to see a grenade launcher which fires a projectile which explodes on contact. That, or maybe a cost effective drone.

If you could play an airsoft game ANYWHERE you wanted, what would be the first place you would play? Let's assume for a moment that you wouldn't be arrested, fined, and prosecuted for doing so. The Pyramids in Egypt? A football stadium? Shopping mall? What would be your "Dream Airsoft Venue"?

What do you love the most about airsoft? Was this the reason you started playing or was it something different which got you into the sport?

What type of sidearm do you use and why? Does it change based on the scenario/field/game you attend? If $$ were no object, would your sidearm preference change?

Update from Team Ares: We're working hard to, yet again, provide the airsofters of the Bay Area a safe, consistent, honorable and fun place to play - whether the same location or a new one. We appreciate everyone's patience and hope to have more details to release soon. Again, we sincerely encourage all players to be mindful of unsanctioned games whether on public or private land. It can be dangerous for the players as well as damaging to the sport should there be any kind ...of safety/legal incident. That being said, as you are contemplating your primary weaponry platform do you prefer GBB or AEG? What is best and why? Please keep comments friendly - we know this can be a HEATED debate :)

Interested in learning more about the Ares Airsoft Club? Join us for an open meeting in 10 days at Ivy Ridge! Following the meeting you will have the opportunity to join and attend the Private Event Operation: Wofbane at Ivy Ridge the same day! Learn about the club, as well as upcoming events which members are invited to attend. You MUST be a member to attend the events, as they are private events for the Ares Airsoft Club. Membership is not guaranteed and may be revoke...d. If you are a dishonorable player or associated with a dishonorable team, we have no interest in having you or your team affiliated with the Airsoft Club at all. However, at open meeting days honorable players associated with or part of honorable teams may come and talk with other club members to see if they are interested in joining. If you recently started a team or are new to the sport, or are new to the area etc, we assume you are honorable unless there is proof to the contrary. Team Ares has absolute and final say in any and all decisions regarding membership to AAC, and is in no way obligated to give any reason for membership denial. Ares Aisoft club is currently FREE to join, and should NOT be confused with Team Ares. Team Ares runs many of the Ares Airsoft Club events, and its members are responsible for founding the club, however AAC members are not defacto members of Team Ares. We invite all teams and players who have interest in AAC to attend the open meeting starting at 8:30am at Ivy Ridge on Saturday 12/21/2013. We are still working on the AAC web site, however there is a group which as a member you will be invited to be part of for exclusive invitations and events for AAC members only. Following the meeting at 8:30am there will be an Ares Airsoft Club event entitled "Operation Wolfsbane" where first briefing starts at ~9:15am and goes until 3pm or so. Like most events with AAC, there are suggested club donations which are responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the field. This event has 2 donation levels, one at $15 which does NOT include lunch, and one at $20 which includes lunch. Lunch includes a sandwich and chips from a local BBQ restaurant and many of our club members were raving about how good they were. Choices for sandwiches are Roast Beef, Tri-Tip, and Turkey. Lunch must be ordered before the warm up game leading up to the Operation. Lunch orders will not be taken following the start of the warm up game after briefing. Want more info on the event? Check out the event page which describes the scenario, search Operation:Wolfsbane in Facebook events.
