COVID-19 Updates from Arch Dental Care: To our patients, As many of you already have heard, the Governor has extended the shelter in place orders for most of the bay area counties through the end of May. Thus, our practice will remain closed to non-essential treatments until further notice. We understand that many of you are itching to be seen. The staff and doctors here are also eager to get out there, but the safety of our communities is paramount. The dental associatio...ns (both state and national) are working hard to lay the groundwork for our practices to reopen. That said, there are a number of you whose present dental condition teeters on the edge of becoming an emergency case. To tackle this issue while it is still manageable, the doctors are working to try and open up a specific day (or more, if needed) to tend to these matters. We have a running list of those that have expressed some concern over the past weeks, and will reach out to these patients once we have the necessary tools, PPE, and staffing in place to keep everyone as safe as possible. PPE continues to be in scarce supply, understandably so. We expect it to be a slow, tedious, and costly process to accumulate what is necessary to start seeing patients on a regular basis. Please know we are doing everything we can to make sure this transition will be as seamless as possible. Our patients will also have a part in this, as there will be a few added measures taken to limit aerosol exposure, especially in the reception area. We will update these steps in a future email, once we have the greenlight to begin the reopening process. Please be patient, our patients, as we all try and work to get some regularity back in our lives. Stay safe, stay healthy, and keep your spirits up! Drs Kim and the Arch Dental Care staff

New updates on office closure due to COVID-19: As our cities continue to modify/extend the quarantine guidelines for the area, we as dental providers have had to make the necessary adjustments to comply. ADA now has recommended to extend the office shut down until May 3rd or until further notice and our office will be continued to be closed for non-essential dental procedures, and will remain on-call for any life threatening dental emergencies that may arise during this time.... If you have any questions specific to your situation, please do not hesitate to contact us back. We are regularly monitoring all our messaging services, and will get back to you as quickly as possible. Best way to reach us during this time would be via email at [email protected]. Stay safe, stay sheltered, and keep spirits up! We look forward to seeing you once this is all behind us. Your doctors and staff at Arch Dental Care

An Important Notice Regarding COVID-19 To all our patients at Arch Dental Care, As the world reacts to the daily news of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the California Dental Association has decided to proactively advise the closure of all dental practices in the state for the next 14 days. We expect this to be a fluid situation, and will update you all on this matter as more information comes to light. Thus, we will postpone all non-essential dental services starting Tuesday Ma...rch 17th, and will tentatively reopen Tuesday April 7th. As always, we will remain available for any dental emergencies that may arise. If such an issue does occur, please notify one of the doctors via email at [email protected], which will be constantly monitored. For now, keep in mind the following recommendations: Practice good hygiene and wash your hands regularly throughout the day with a good antimicrobial soap or hand sanitizer. Try to refrain from touching your face, especially your eyes, nose, and mouth. Viruses cannot get into your body without your help. If possible, practice social distancing. Keep a safe distance from others; the CDC and NIH recommend at least six feet. The viruses travel on airborne droplets from those who are infected and thus distance is your friend. Avoid sharing enclosed/unventilated spaces with anyone who is not well, such as traveling together in a car. If this cannot be avoided, consider driving with the windows open. If the patient is a member of your household, you may want to increase the circulation in your home and open a window if warranted. The use of a personal facemask will be helpful if you are caring for someone who is sick, or you know you are going to be exposed to someone who is sick. However, for general use, a facemask has limited benefits. One of the most effective uses of a mask is on the patient to help prevent the spread of the disease. If you have an appointment scheduled for the coming few weeks, one of us will be contacting you directly to reschedule as necessary, if we have already not done so. For those scheduled in April and beyond, we expect to keep everything as is for the time being. If you wish to reschedule your future appointment(s) due to present health concerns, notifying us via email during the next few weeks of closure will be the best way to get in touch. We will update you as more information comes in. Until then, stay safe, stay clean, and be kind to your neighbors. Sincerely, Dr. Michelle Kim, Dr. James Kim, and your Arch Dental Care staff
