My Skincare Routine as requested! I dedicate anywhere between 10-30 minutes each day to my skin care routine. No that’s not a typo- just ask my husband Not only do I want to look great in 20 years, but the skin is our biggest organ and has so many important functions that it shouldn’t be neglected! . AM .... PM . TREATMENTS. Every 4-6 weeks I’ll do an @skinscriptrx enzyme or @facerealityskincare peel depending on the season/ how my skin has been acting and what it needs. 1. Wash yours hands! Even if you’re practicing social distancing and staying home this is essential to stop the spread of any germs. Remember what for at least 20 seconds with nice warm water. 2. Drink water- and plenty of it! Water keeps you hydrated and flushes out toxins helping to keep your immune system strong and healthy. 3. Move your body! Do a home workout or get outside and go for a walk. So many fitness influencers are posting home workouts that use minimal equipmen...t, so take advantage! I know it’s tough right now to find the variety we’re used to, but do your best to get at least one serving of veggies with every meal. Leafy greens are the most nutrient rich, which supports your body’s immune system and helps your body function optimally. 5. Disinfect surfaces! Wipe down countertops, reusable water bottles, door handles and drawer pulls. 6. Get plenty of rest! Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night. Good quality, consistent rest supports your immune system and keeps you clear headed to make healthy choices the next day. Limiting screen time throughout the day, but especially an hour before bed will help your body wind down and prepare for a more restful nights sleep. 7. Take your elderberry syrup! Elderberry is a potent antioxidant that is high in zinc and vitamin c, which are essential to fight off pathogens and keeping your immune system strong. 8. Meditate/ breathe. This is a time of change, unknowns, panic, upheaval and loss of routines, all of which can create unwanted anxiety. Taking a few moments to relax, meditate, pray, stretch, practice breathing exercises, journal, etc. will help regulate and calm your nervous system. It hurts my heart to tell you that I’ve decided to temporarily close my doors until April 1st (tentatively). I hope you know this decision was not taken lightly and I spent many hours in deep thought weighing the outcomes of each opposing choice. I wanted to remain a constant for you all during such an uncertain and chaotic time in the world. I take great pride and responsibility knowing that my business can be not only a place of relaxation, but a place of refuge and a healt...hy escape from the world’s sometimes cruel realities. I would never want to take that away from you all and that is what made this decision so difficult for me. At the end of the day though, my first priority is protecting myself, my family and all of my beautiful, supportive clients. I feel like it’s up to me to limit not only my exposure, but yours as well. Know that this decision was made purely out of love- I want to protect the health and safety of you and our neighbors. This has beyond far been the most difficult and conflicting decision I’ve had to make as a small business owner, but I’m choosing to cling to what feels right and aligned to me and right now this feels true. If anything changes you will be the first to know. In the meantime, I appreciate your patience, understanding and support of my choice.
