Wow, what a day! Today at the office we put down the drills, and picked up our cups. It was a day to invest in myself, and spend time with other mommy dentists. #thankfultuesday is that even a thing? Well, it is now! . . This is Dr. Tina Saw. She is a successful business owner of Elevated Smiles and just recently launched her own loupe + loupe light company, @lightsolutionsdental ! Check them out! .... . On a more personal note, to me she is a fellow mommy dentist and a friend. We graduated from the same dental school (yay @lluschoolofdentistry ). Her husband, Dr. Thanh Lu, Dr. Alvin, and I were all in the same class. After we graduated and started our careers as mommies and dentists, we reconnected. Even though we are 1-2 hours apart (depending on traffic, thank you socal), whenever we get together I know it will be a good time. Our kids have so much fun playing together too, so that's a bonus. Tina has been a source of knowledge during our start up. From marketing, to supplies, to general business systems, to actual dentistry. Happy Anniversary to us! Can't believe 6 years have flown by, and I'm so happy it is with you! We celebrated our anniversary yesterday by working at our office doing what we love---dentistry. We were going to have a lunch date together, but life had other things in store. Between my car's blinking engine light (pretty sure it was the oil light?), an oil change, and trying to find my smog check paper, we missed our window of opportunity. Instead, Dr. Alvin made us bur...ritos and brought with my favorite cheddar and sour cream ruffle chips (don't worry folks, we celebrated this past weekend). The point of this story is, it doesn't matter if we're eating homemade burritos or @brunositaliankitchen (although, I can always eat pasta)as long as we are together! Cheers to love & to many more years together! . . .
