Friday November 20, 2020 has been declared Senica Gonzalez Day! Senica Gonzalez has served the Arcade Creek Recreation and Park District as a citizen volunteer and Board Member since 2015. Senica was the catalyst in the Arcade Creek Improvement Project. Selected to the Board in the Spring of 2016 Senica has served three years as Board Chair. Senica did not run for reelection in 2020 and will be leaving his service to the community on November 30, 2020. In light of all that Senica has done, the Arcade Creek Recreation and Park District during their November 19th Board Meeting adopted Board Resolution 2020-12 Recognizing him for his efforts for the community and declared Friday November 20, 2020 as Senica Gonzalez Day in the Arcade Creek Recreation and Park District.

Gate to American River College locked American River College experienced the theft of two golf carts from the locked campus compound. Security videos showed the carts heading to the pedestrian bridge across Arcade Creek and the Jo Smith Nature Trail. The campus has been locked down since last spring. Unauthorized presence on the campus is not permitted. Because of the theft of property campus authorities have locked access to the campus service road portion of your daily walking routes. Please be respectful of the campus authorities attempt to secure the school property.

Effective today 11-3-2020 the Dog Park at Arcade Creek Park is closed for repairs to the fencing. It appears that the damage has been caused by vandalism and some misuse. The Dog Park will reopen when repairs are complete. When using any dog park, a responsible person at least 12 years of age must accompany the animal at all times when inside the compound and they must be able to control the dogs behavior. Rules are posted at the entrance to the dog park area. Please do no...t allow your animal to dig holes inside the compound, this is a safety concern. Thank you!
