The project "Return" is implemented with the aim to reset the Vishaps (dragon stones), which were once cut off from their natural environment and relocated in o...ther places. One of the primary goals of the project is to correct Vishaps placed upside down, as well to document and to popularize them. The first stage of the project was carried out in the area of the memorial near the graveyard of Davtashen village of Talin in Aragatsotn region, in order to correctly reset the Vishap stone placed upside down in concrete foundations. Davtashen’s Vishap, under the supervision of restorer- specialists, was cleaned from the concrete-cement mortar and the ground using special construction equipments, , the "invisible-hidden" part of the Vishap was photographed, after which the stone was placed in the right stature. The project envisages the reset of Vishap stones to the correct position in the territory of Byurakan community, on the shore of Lake Aragats, as well in Yerevan. The project "Return" is implemented under the patronage of the "Ararat - Eskijian Museum" in California, USA, with the permission of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of RA, under the supervision of the Institute of the Archaeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of RA, in cooperation with "ArcheoArt & LAB" NGO. Scientific supervision and management is carried out by the Deputy Director of the Institute of the Archaeology and Ethnography Arsen Bobokhyan. #vishap # # #ArchaeoArt_LAB For the implementation and support our kind regards to : Ararat Eskijian Museum, Institute of Archaeology & Ethnography, Artavazd Zaqyan, Hasmik Simonyan, Ast Simonyan, Lusine Aleqsanyan, Tigran Zakyan, Nerses Mamikonyan, Smbat Grigoryan, Hovhannes Meloyan, Vahagn Grigoryan, the Head of the village Davtashen and villagers.
