Had a customer come to us recently with a challenging job. Needed IC die thinned and they were bumped. So far so good. Problem was, that the die had a single row of bumps and had no way to keep the die upright while thinning the backside. Our crew put their heads together and we came up with a template with slots cut into it, the width of the die. Die fit snugly into the slots, mounted the whole setup to one of our patented fixtures and when we were done. The die met the spec of the customer and achieved the parallelism they were looking for. Happy Customers always make us smile.
