Good 'morrow, all. I would like to share three things about myself in this post: 1. I drew this image in chalks on nice black paper this past summer for @tdeclerk, one of my best collectors over the years (thank you, Tommy and Jen!) I appropriated the image from the venerable A-KA, fine purveyor of Frozen- and otherwise dope-themed arts (akapost.tumblr.com). I can make an image for you, too, although disclaimer: I am kinda very deliberate about the process. 2. I am selling Di...sney trading pins, and I have linked some of them from my store to this image, and will continue to do so over the next month. I don't have any Frozen-themed pins, though, sorry. Hello! To celebrate my birthday this coming Tuesday, January 26, I would like to host a giveaway and raise money for a local cause. allow me to explain: a. drawing originally marked on a piece of cardboard and affixed to a stick for use in that weekend's Women's March in L.A., 2017 (photo by @whycodywhy I THINK?) b. there is an ongoing problem at @eaglerockcommunityfridge of overflowing trash, and since people who drop food off in boxes seldom take care of said boxes and peri...pheral trash (expiring perishables and things), I wanted to help. c-f. Every inauguration day, because the school where I work is very traditional, the headmaster has everyone (students and faculty) gather in the assembly/study hall to witness a live telecast of the swearing in of our nation's new president. Obviously this was not something feasible this time around due to Covid-19. Four years ago, however, instead of being downstairs with everyone to witness our country's new sadness which culminated in the subsequent election's Big Lie, I decided to draw a protest sign. I drew a picture of something I had seen on the internet: Donald Trump's head on a pipe with the words "Ceci n'est pas un president" underneath it. Surrealist quippy references aside, my point is that I used the feeling of disgust and disapproval and converted it into something on which I could concentrate though perhaps I was stuffing down my feelings. I made a few versions of them. All are numbered silkscreened prints on 11x14" paper save for the the first one, which is a 5x7 inkjet print on watercolor paper.
