Reverse Osmosis Membranes Awarded MOH Certification in China Applied Membranes, Inc. low pressure residential RO membrane elements ranging from 50 to 480 gallons per day production have recently been awarded China’s Ministry of Health Certification. Considered one of the most demanding product testing and qualification standards, China’s MOH certification is required for all imported water treatment equipment. Manufactured in the USA since 1983, AMI membranes are certified to... NSF/ANSI Standard 58, manufactured in our ISO 9001:2015 QMS certified facility, and have earned a strong reputation of quality and reliability world-wide. We are excited to have successfully completed our MOH certification process. Not only is this a testament to the high quality and consistency of our products, but opens new markets to us. We look forward to our membrane elements providing clean water to homes and businesses across China. says Gil Dhawan, President of Applied Membranes, Inc. Applied Membranes, Inc. Water Treatment Solution Supplying 1.2M GPD for Milk Producer A leading milk producer in Peru was facing difficult challenges with the water needed for their production processes. Located in a volcanic zone, the plant's water contains arsenic, making it non-potable and unsuitable for use in food production. The plant had been buying potable water, adding significant costs to their operation. With these challenges in mind, AMI worked with the company to... engineer a solution: Dual RO/EDI systems complete with pretreatment designed to produce 1.2 million gallons of <15M resistivity water per day at 75% recovery. Now in operation for 5 years, the water treatment systems have been supplying the plant with water for use in milk production and the facility’s operation including cauldrons and cooling towers. The plant’s milk production capacity has increased drastically, while simultaneously reducing the production costs by eliminating the need to buy water. The company has also experienced significant cost savings and less down-time due to reduced frequency of cauldron purges, less cleaning of the cooling towers, and extended lifetime of the processing equipment.
