Could your horse's "just not right" be from a Sprung Pelvis? This is one reason why I'm constantly checking under tails, adductors, especially when hinds are windswept or m-l imbalance and no obvious hock or other issue. https://thehorsesback.com/the-blown-out-pelvis-or-the-spru/

free full text: brome is lower in WSC than ryegrass. The differences are far greater more mature the grass. Do not let horses with ID eat mature grass. Defi...nitions: growing degree days are a measure of good growing conditions. The leaf sheath is the part that wraps around the stem, and it is shown to be a WSC storage organ in these 2 species. This study appears to be properly conducted as per plant science protocols and can hopefully be an example to equine scientists who continue to ignore the multifactorial nature of WSC in grass. This is not a problem with all Bermuda, it can be found in ANY and ALL hays. This could have been fatal!! TEST your forage!! Two weeks in feeding a new hay stack, I was very concerned with the sxs I was seeing at the 5 week trim cycle appt. STRONGLY urged owner to test hay. Then came back 3 weeks later for the slow grow...ers that were active and on 8 week trim cycle and was horrified at the increase in sxs. I brought hay corer, pulled samples from 16 bales, owner sent sample off and this was the SHOCKING results! Looking at, smelling, touching the bales gave no indication of a problem, let alone how serious and the multiple problems that this hay contained. Horses were eating it without hesitation...
