S E N I O R S P O T L I G H T Brother: Jonathan Castro Major: Cell and Molecular Bio Pledge class: FH3 Iota class Fall 2016 Hobbies: I enjoy playing video games, watching movies, playing guitar, and working out whenever I have time... Why APO: When I was in high school I used to do a lot of community service through clubs and sports. Freshman year I found myself not only lacking in making friends but doing service of any sort. Clint and Jeremy were my roommates freshman year and joined. They told me all about it and how it was a good way for me to make more friends and get back into doing community service. So I thought I’d give it a shot. I joined with the intentions of making friends and doing some community service but ended up making a new family and doing more service than I thought I would. It really helped me get out of my shell and build up my social and leadership skills. My favorite service event was probably the the knights ferry cleanup, we got to work with AHk brothers and not only cleanup the park but also enjoy the wonderful view. After Graduation: after graduation, I will still be around taking some classes over the summer but will be working full time in a hospital in Turlock as a medical scribe. After about a year, I will apply to PA schools and hopefully finish my master’s of PA and be a practicing PA. #apo #apoahg #seniorspotlight #2018 @ UC Merced See more

S E N I O R S P O T L I G H T Brother: Clint Valencia JEH Zeta Class Spring 2015 Molecular and Cellular Biology... Hobbies: EATING and SLEEP, and also watching tv and playing sports! Why did I join APO? Wanted to be more involved on campus and give back to the community as well as grow as a person, and also saw APO as a great opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills! Favorite Memory: PLEDGING! Bonding with my pledge class from our retreat to making gifts for our Pledge Parents till 6 AM was my fave. And also meeting new and cool people through new pledge classes is something I will miss Favorite Service Event: My favorite service event is the Alzheimer’s walk, having the brothers and the community come together to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s Disease was something I looked forward to every year since I joined APO. #apo #apoahg #seniorspotlight #2018
