Happy Halloween! Mask on, have fun, be safe. The not so scary story about this photo day. One week after we sheltered in place, I launched the Aplat mask for sale, donation and the free mask pattern all at once. Alone in the studio, I was packing and shipping around the clock to get the first donation masks out to hospitals and individuals in need. As the weeks pasted I couldn’t keep up so I called a friend. Beatrice came to the rescue and helped me pack and ship over 10,0...00 masks. After several weeks together we started to get a little silly, as one would around Beatrice, we spontaneously took a series of Aplat mask on photos. I never laughed so hard! When I see this series I think of; friendship, fun, hard work, trust, community, hustling, women supporting women, the struggle to stay in business and Covid-19. We can’t have a Halloween party but we can cook like we are. My autumn favorite, Baked Acorn Squash with Butter and Brown Sugar. Found an easy recipe @delish Ingredients: 1 acorn squash, cut in half and seeds removed 2 tbsp. butter, softened 1 tbsp. packed brown sugar... 1/4 tsp. cinnamon Small pinch kosher salt Instructions: Preheat oven to 400. Spread butter on inside of each squash half. In a small bowl combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and small pinch of salt. Sprinkle over squash.
