We’re looking towards new beginnings! This was not how anyone pictured the beginning of a new decade. Reflecting on 2020, it has been a difficult year to say the least. Regardless, our Center is keeping its head up high. We have adapted to and overcome obstacles in this unprecedented time. While it is unclear as to where our country and the world will be even six months from now, we know we will take the future on with our best foot forward. That is why we are introducing th...e New Beginnings Campaign, our end-of-year fundraising effort. In November and December, we hope you will stand with us as we eagerly approach a new tomorrow. We have remained committed to our goal of fostering lasting peace through mediation. While it has been our pleasure to serve the place we call home, the fact of the matter is that your generosity is what keeps our work going and we cannot do it without you. We hope you will join us.

Ruth Badger Ginsberg fought until her last breath in an attempt to preserve our democracy. Now she is at rest. We are utterly heartbroken to have learned about her passing. Justice Ginsberg was undoubtedly ahead of her time and played a crucial role in moving our nation forward. We thank her for her dedication and her values throughout the years that resonate with our own. 2020 has been a difficult year for our organization, for those we serve, and for the unfamiliar faces we see on the street every day. But in the face of adversity, we remain inspired by Justice Ginsberg and her everlasting commitment towards creating a more just nation for all. May she Rest In Peace and Power. And may we, as defenders of justice, carry on her mission and legacy.
In October, we will be conducting our Conectados por Sabiduría (Connected by Wisdom) Spanish workshop series. These workshops will serve as a translated version of the Lunchtime Workshop Series from back in April. We began this online series as a way to instill individuals with the essential skills needed to tackle conflict within their own neighborhoods, especially during such an unprecedented time. We take pride in being able to work and expand our services to even more ...underserved and underrepresented communities in an effort to foster peace across Los Angeles County. We hope you will join us. https://buff.ly/2RHqDv4
Today, we mourn the tragedy that unfolded on September 11th, 2001. May we hold the victims and heroes in our memories and continue working towards a world in which we live in harmony and understanding. #NeverForget
