Such a bounty of wines presented to us from 2019. We encourage those interested to move quickly, as we produced significantly less than in previous years. These are bottles that you won’t regret pulling corks on now or laying down in your cellars. This release has something for everyone. Stay well.

A Word about Old Vines. It would be easy to overlook the lone Chardonnay we bottle. We don’t make much and it’s our only Russian River Valley bottling. We hope you don’t make that mistake. These dry farmed, 75-year-old vines (head-trained on roots from 1857 that look more like small trees than grape vines), produce a naturally expressive wine of distinct briny, mineral and savory orchard fruit character that you only get in whites from vines this old. A winemaker-friend once said, I smell this and want to be at the river and then taste it, and just want to sit with it at home. This may be the best compliment about our wines I’ve ever heard. 2019 Peugh Chardonnay available now in the shop.

The Spine of the Sonoma Coast from Two Rock southwest of Sebastopol north to Annapolis on the Sonoma/Mendocino border, every vineyard this vintage has not only expressed the clear character of the site and vintage but also exemplifies the delicious quality we feel should be inherent in wine. The combination of nuanced, gorgeous aromatics we find so compelling from cooler sites to the feather weight mouthfeel and consistent depth of flavor keeps us coming back to the glass to experience the dramatic changes that develop as the wines opensomething they often do from special vintages.
