Still waiting for your stimulus?

Anne McCaleb, CPA 13.01.2021

Good morning! If you applied for the SBA disaster loan (EIDL), and your application submission number doesn't start with the number 3, you will need to reapply. Conveniently, there was a glitch in the system and all the prior submissions didn't go through. You will not be contacted, you will just need to go through the steps to reapply. Good times!

Hello, and happy Tax Day! Oh wait, it's not tax day. But, the IRS does have their website updated to receive your direct deposit info for the stimulus checks! If you didn't get your refund direct deposited, or if you owed tax, you can use this to let IRS know where to deposit your stimulus check, if you're eligible. Go to irs.gov and click Get My Payment (upper right icon), then click the blue Get My Payment button, then say OK to use their site. Next you'll enter your S...SN, DOB, address, and name. If you file joint, either spouse can fill this out (but I'd recommend using the main taxpayer's info). Then it will tell you whether you are eligible, and then you'll enter some identifying information from your 2018 or 2019 return - you'll need your adjusted gross income and your refund/money owed from that same year. If you've filed your 2019 return, use the info from that return; if not, use 2018. Then you'll enter the bank account routing and account numbers where you want your money deposited, and that's it! If you file joint, only one spouse needs to do this, both checks will be deposited into that account. Let me know if you have any questions! See more
