I'm not quite sure when my love affair with subtle brunette highlights began. I can tell you it wasn't 10 years ago, when all my brunettes had harsh yellow stripes (and to those clients, you have my most sincere apologies .) But somehow over the years, I can honestly say this is where I've felt myself growing the most. Brunettes are a WHOLE different ballgame than blondes when it comes to placement and toning. Too many, too close together and you lose your original color. T...oo ashy and it looks grey. Too warm and it looks orange. It is such a perfect balance of subtle placement and that glowy finish. . .
