There may be no way around life sometimes but there can be a way around how we deal with it.

Be kind to yourself. Clear your mind, your table, and your desk. Put one thing you’ve prioritized to be important on it and do it until it’s done. Then move on to the next. Imagine the peace you would feel not trying to do 10 things at once both in your head and on your plate.

Sometimes the biggest pitfall is trying to hard.

When things you are attempting are a struggle it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s wrong for you, it could be you’re just going about it in the wrong way.

To teach children obedience is to also teach them that life doesn’t always go the way they want it to you. As long as discernment is present, obedience will build character And patience.

When a light shines on some thing it reveals it’s true nature. Light makes visible that which is not readily seen. Don’t be surprised or offended when you shed light and people recoil. Sometimes people like things the way they are no matter how dysfunctional, it’s the cost versus reward theory.

It wasn't until I became a parent, that I finally got God. As a parent I would think: I’m not going to run in and fix your problem, I may sit by the sidelines, I'm here to make sure you don't crack your head open, loose everything, etc. I would never let that happen. But you may NEED to learn something valuable for if and when a bigger trial hits. So I'll stand back, and let you go through it. THAT is what true love and true good parenting looks like. Not stifling your growth and sending you the message that you are incapable of solving things on your own, but to gently stand back, sometimes to my own great pain, to let you learn to navigate this life when I'm not around to save you. And THAT is also the beginning of good boundaries. #truelovingparent
