We get busy at our weekend Adoption Fairs and don’t always remember to share the JOY of seeing our wonderful cats/kittens with their new furever families. MaMa POLLY and her SWEET P’s have all found their FOREVER homes. Polly was an owner surrender who was pregnant when she came into ART. She was an amazing Mom and gave birth to and raised, 5 puppies with the help of a wonderful FOSTER family. The puppies were all adopted in September and after being spayed and fully vaccinated POLLY went home with her new Mom and Dad yesterday. If it hadn’t been for Foster, Ilaria, and her family we could not have saved Polly and her pups. We are always in need of FOSTERS, so if you or someone you know can open your home and hearts to foster cats or dogs, let us know. We provide the supplies, you provide the LOVING HOME!

Update: ADOPTED! Congratulations, Squirrel!! Meet Squirrel! She is a super sweet and energetic girl who LOVES to romp and play. She is an avid hunter of toys and loves to chat with her humans about the news (mews?) of the day. She's hoping to spy her forever family with those big beautiful eyes at our weekend adoption fair, held at our rescue facility inside the West Valley Mall from 11:00 to 4:00 on Saturdays, 12:00 to 4:00 on Sundays. ... Late Season/3rd Wave kittens have increased the number of cats/kittens we have in Rescue by 32 in just 5 days. If it weren’t for the amazing new FOSTERS who have stepped forward as well as our long-term fosters who have added more newbies, we would not have been able to SAVE these babies. Sadly we are still getting requests to take in even more, but we have exceeded Catpacity with no available fosters. Now it’s time for the Community to help by ADOPTING the marvelous c...ats/kittens currently available who are looking for their furever homes. Our newbies won’t be ready for awhile, BUT we have tuxedos, black & white short-hair, brown, grey & orange tabbies, torbies, and calicos of all ages and personalities available for adoption RIGHT NOW who want nothing more than to LOVE & BE LOVED! Check them out on our website: www.animalrescuetracy.org. You can also help by having ALL cats including any Community Cats spayed/neutered. Rescue & Shelter staff can’t do it alone. We must all work together to save homeless cats/kittens and stop the endless cycle of cats/kittens as young as 4 months old having kittens. Babies should NOT be having babies! Rescuing animals is rewarding & difficult at the same time. What makes it easier is the people you share the journey with. A week ago this GREAT LADY, Kate’s Rescue Founder, Julia Sounders, left this earth to be with her loved ones human and furbabies quite unexpectedly. Julia’s LEGACY is the special volunteers of Kate’s Rescue who will continue her amazing work and those of us who were lucky to know Julia and share her desire to better the lives of furbabies. We know she is watching from above surrounded by the furbabies she helped who have Crossed The Rainbow Bridge and giving the rest of us encouragement like she always did. RIP JULIA!

SATURDAY UPDATE: A huge THANK YOU to all who helped us reach our financial goal to cover Tyche’s medical expenses. We have tried to thank everyone personally who donated, but we also know many of you SHARED Tyche’s story and that too had a big impact. It truly Takes A Village to Rescue cats & dogs! ... Happy Friday, Rescue Warriors! Meet TYCHE, a brave little girl who is facing a long road to recovery after losing both of her eyes to infection. This sweet baby is fighting hard but needs our help - she would greatly appreciate both donations and sharing her story with your friends and family. Tyche’s enucleation surgery cost Animal Rescue of Tracy over $600 and we anticipate additional follow-up expenses during her recovery. We certainly couldn’t turn our backs on this precious girl and we are now asking for help to cover this unexpected expense.
