I invited three highly creative women to lunch. It's been about a year and a half since I've hosted an event that wasn't immediate family. We had such a lovely time.

Here's a plant-based menu proving that life as a vegan is much more than cold tofu. Easily available meat-free products, and a combination of common ingredients makes for a tasty and satisfying barbecue suitable for any guest. Have a happy, safe, and sane July 4th!

Here's what I did with a bumper crop of kumquats. Dinner was fun to create, and turned out surprisingly delicious. Any citrus fruit could substitute -- Meyer lemons, tangerines, oranges, limes, even citroens!

The Menu for a Spooky Autumn Evening spent hiding from Trick-or-Treaters. The menu is whole food, plant based using ingredients that are easy to obtain and work with. Some of the dishes featured are easier to make if you have a bit of experience (tamales and fresh tortillas, for example), but definitely do-able.
