San Francisco Bay Area E-Contractor Academy 2018 Follow-Up from Kickoff Brownbag at OEWD We would like to thank you for attending our meet-and greet event hosted by CityBuild, and for a great conversation about the E-Contractor Academy. It was especially valuable to hear from a cross-section of people - from City agencies, building trades, contractors, utilities and employers. A special thanks to Supervisor Safai for lending his voice and support to this effort.... We will be following up with you one-on-one, but wanted to send out a reminder to help get the word out. We are now accepting contractor enrollments at our website: http://e-contractoracademy.com. If you know contractors in your network, please forward to them. Thanks again for your time, and kudos to Josh Arce, Ken Nim and the CityBuild team for getting us all together for this conversation! The San Francisco Bay Area E-Contractor Academy is a workshop-based technical and business skill-building program that trains small, minority and disadvantaged contractors from low- and moderate-income communities to comply with local hiring and prevailing wage requirements as they successfully bid and secure public and private contracts for public works and utility projects. Those projects include infrastructure, solar project construction and services coupled with energy efficiency building retrofits and distributed energy storage. A proven model that has successfully trained over 100 contractors in Los Angeles County -- resulting in $15 million in contract awards -- the E-Contractor Academy kicks off in February 2018.
