HARDCORE CHALLENGE I’m not sure if any of you out there are like me but I struggle in the gym when I have nothing to train for. My workouts lately have been kind of shitty due to me not having a focus. Well low and behold the Iron Gods have smiled on me and sent down The One Ton Challenge. Six lifts, squat, deadlift, bench press, clean, jerk and snatch. Take your max effort lift for all of those and if they total over 2,000 pounds you complete the challenge. I’m currently s...itting at 1,995 so the question of hitting a ton isn’t a big deal. So know I want to complete the challenge in 3 hours! Sounds crazy but I’ve never been more focused in the gym! The ultimate test against resistance Here’s a bit of my training from the weekend. Really working hard on getting my speed back in the weightlifting movements I’m so down to load that bar again and see what I’m made of. Can’t wait #onedayoneton @barbellshrugged See more

Client Spotlight I want to introduce you all to Jack. Jack came to me as a sophomore in high school looking to get stronger for his upcoming wrestling season. After working in that for a year, he stepped away from the sport but not the clean and jerk Jack works his ass off to clean up his form and continue to push the limits of his speed and strength. On top of everything else he just received word that he has been accepted to Cal Poly San Luis! Jack is a perfect example of hard work, dedication and the willingness to focus on what makes you happy. As a coach and a bud I could not be more proud of him. Join me in congratulating Jack on his work and anticipating great things to come. Oh and a new Clean and Jerk PR! 155

Hardcore Progress Here’s a little update on what we’ve been working on here at Anarchy Barbell. Trying to stay conditioned but keep the weight heavy! The reps are purposely low and there are prescribed breaks. It’s been a lot of fun trying out these workouts. Some work and some don’t. This is the joy of trying to creat something new. Follow us through this journey and if you have some time give this push workout a shot. Guaranteed to stoke the heart rate and secure the pump... I’d like to give a quick shoutout to these three members of Anarchy Barbell and Athletics. When I decided to open the gym to members Christine, Sulleymon and Jack were the first to sign up. They’ve believed in me and the message Anarchy Barbell promotes. These three want to be strong. They want a heavy barbell and they are not afraid to do the work in making it heavier every single workout. When we’re all lifting together the energy contagious. Here’s to more squad lift sessions A huge thank you to these three and all the members here at Anarchy. #anarchybarbell #anarchyathlete #anarchypowerlifting #powerlifting #skwaaats #deadlifts #bench #howmuchyabench #vegan #plantbasedathlete #fitlife #fitfam #gym #barbells #riseandgrind @ Anarchy Barbell and Athletics

HARDCOREWhen I opened Anarchy Barbell I really didn’t have an idea of what I wanted our focus to be. I’ve done just about everything in terms of weights( bodybuilding, Crossfit, powerlifting, weightlifting). It took forever to set the focus but we have it now and that’s STRENGTH. When you walk into Anarchy Barbell I want you to know you’re here to be stronger. When you see our logo I want you to think of strength. Strength can be a broad term but our programs are designed t...o get you stronger in whatever you feel you’re weak at. Yesterday’s workout is a great example. Muscle snatches followed by a minute of toes to bar. After that we did push jerks followed by a minute sprint on the ski erg. My goal is to strengthen my conditioning while keeping the bar as heavy as possible. I’ll be stronger. Is your program making you stronger? Is your gym designed to get you your goals?? Drop by if you’re in Mountain View and let us show you how strong you can be. See more
