This Satsang will be in two parts. Shivani will send us her thoughts via a video and Arudra and Mahiya will be live for their presentation. Register for this Zoom class: https://livestream.com/anandala/road-ahead-ii Shivani will discuss: Stories from the early days of the Village’s founding and developmentinstructive and/or entertaining.... Ideas around the organization and management of an Ananda community How can people who are not directly involved in the organizing and management of the community per se make a contribution and have an impact in the areas they are interested in or concerned about? We know that Swamiji encouraged us to have fun. How do we do that with such a critical and important project as building a community? Arudra and Mahiya will discuss: How should we determine who can join the community? How is it done in Assisi? What should people be considering when thinking about moving to an Ananda community? Can you share some of your own process in making that decision? What do you see as some of your joys and challenges participating in community life? Shivani Lucki is the co-founder of the Yogananda Academy of Europe and founder of the Ananda Raja Yoga School of Europe and the School of Life Therapy for Self-Healing. Shivani is one of the founding members of Ananda Village in California where she lived from 1969 until 1985. In 1979 Shivani started the yoga programs at The Expanding Light in California and coordinated Ananda teachers and ministers in the United States. She was also co-manager of the Ananda Organic Farm until Swami Kriyananda asked her and her husband, Arjuna, to move to Italy to help build Ananda Europe. At Ananda Assisi, Shivani creates the guest courses and training programs for meditation teachers in all of Europe. She often travels, giving lectures and seminars on Self-Realization and Kriya Yoga throughout the continent and Russia. Shivani was also the Executive Producer of the film, Finding Happiness, released in the United States, Europe and India in 2014. Arudra and Mahiya reside in the Ananda Assisi Community, with about 100 other devotees, living and manifesting the Vision of Yogananda’s World Brotherhood Colonies on a daily basis. With 10 years and 20 years of community living experience, respectively, Arudra and Mahiya are responsible for guiding many aspects of the community. For the last six years they have been guiding new entrants into the community through the Living Discipleship Programs. Arudra and Mahiya are part of the Membership Team. This team is responsible for both supporting existing members and guiding new prospects through the membership process of the Sadhaka, Sevaka and Life Member vows to complete membership. They are also part of the Community Expansion and Development Team, a group of seven people who are dedicated to manifesting Yogananda’s vision for the community on the physical, social and spiritual planes.
