***Actual solar cost example and savings below*** How much does solar cost? Does it actually save money? Here are the numbers on an actual system we have sold in Linden, Ca (PG&E energy provider). ... We get that question more that any other question. Our systems/proposals are all unique and based on your actual usage, and roof design (South facing panels produce more power per panel than other facing directions) This installation is on a South West facing roof. The home is about 2800 square feet. Their average monthly bill with PG&E was $700.25 (they use a lot of power and keep the AC on). The install is with 48 Panasonic panels, which is a huge system due to their usage. Prior PG&E bill = $700.25 10 year 1.99% monthly payment = $396.26 15 year 2.99% monthly payment = $297.59 20 year 3.99% monthly payment = $261.30 The savings are huge! Even on a 10 year loan the payments nearly half of what their PG&E bill was prior. Plus, the panels are warrantied for 25 years to still be producing 92% power so they have 15 years of free, warrantied power after the loan is paid off. And, the panels will still be producing close to what they were producing when brand new! We'd love to answer your question on solar!

Did you know? Different energy providers (PG&E, Lodi Electric, SMUD etc) have different solar programs and credit amounts. For example: During the day, especially in Summer months, the sun that's hitting your roof or ground mounted solar system is producing more power power than your home can use. What happens to this extra power?... If you don't have a battery this extra power goes backwards through your meter to your energy provider. How much money or credit per watt your energy provider gives you in exchange for the watts you send them determines to a large extent how much money you can save by going solar. For example, PG&E currently gives you back 1 watt for every 1 watt you send them. One thing to consider is you're often giving them off peak watts, and asking for on peak watts in return so there is a loss there. That's why we have to build your system bigger than your actual usage to get a full offset. City of Lodi gives you back .0772 cents credit for every watt you send them. City of Lodi does have lower rates than PG&E but none of their tiers are as low as .0772 cents. This is why in order to determine your actual savings, we design a system based on your actual home, South facing roof area and actual usage. Information on PG&E rates can be found here: https://www.pge.com//tiered-base-plan/tiered-base-plan.page City of Lodi Electric rate info can be found here: https://www.lodi.gov/897/Electric-Rates

Will solar keep power on to my hosue if or when the utility company shuts power down? With solar only, when the utility company shuts down power your solar will not be producing either. The main reason for that is they don't want your solar system back feeding the grid with power while they have men or women working. It could cause injury to their crews. To keep power on when the utility company shuts power down you need to ad a battery or generator to your system. ... Our Sonnen batteries feature an off grid inverter which keeps your power on and also keeps your system from back feeding the grid. When power goes off the automatic transfer switch kicks on and keeps your system supplying you with power. The same can be be achieved with a generator also with an automatic transfer switch. We'd love to help you understand all your solar and off grid options so that you can decide what's the best fit for you and your family, and if solar is a money saver for your situation. We can do the whole thing over a zoom meeting or in person if regulations allow. #ampwrx #Sonnen #Generac #Kohler #solaregde #enphase #Soligent #Panasonic #Axitec #CED
