It was an amazing weekend for Ashley Lawson & Anthony Chiles, joining together in Holy Matrimony, and a special blessing for both families to be together to witness their beautiful Wedding on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Culver Hotel and Celebration with the Angeles Mesa Presbyterian Church Family on Sunday, October 21, 2018! Hats off to our Ashley Lawson! What an amazing day it was on September 29, 2018 to shower Bride-to-Be Ashley Lawson with our love, support and blessings! Ashley's adventurous, loves nature, and wanted an outdoor party. God blessed this joyful day real good with clear blue skies, white fluffy clouds, and a light summer breeze! Ashley spent the afternoon, enjoying family and friends, sporting hats and sunglasses, at the beautiful home of Linda & Robert Dickerson. An authentic I...talian menu was crafted, prepared from the heart, and served in three courses by Neema Cyrus-Franklin. No one wanted to leave when the time came to conclude. The day was truly extraordinary! After Ashley's mother & father Mon & Tresvan Lawson and sister Terilyn Lawson were introduced, special thanks went out to "Team Ashley" who gave attention to the tasks that needed to get done to fulfill Ashley's wishes: Margaret Cyrus (event coordinator), Neema Cyrus-Franklin & Linda Culbertson (food service), Micah Cyrus (drinks), Linda & Robert Dickerson (host/setup), Linnie (music), Deborah Jones (announcements), Yavonna Morris (games and prizes), Terilyn Lawson (guest list/invites/welcome toast), LaChanel Newell (photographer), Gabrielle Shepard (party planner), and Cassandra Thompson (decorations). Angeles Mesa Presbyterian Church also witness her daughter, the Reverend Neema Cyrus-Franklin in Service for Ordination as Teaching Elder in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) at Covenant Presbyterian Church on August 12, 2018. The gathered congregation heard the reading of Neema's dearest Hebrew Bible Scripture since age 11: Micah 6:8, declaring "The LORD God has told us what is right and what God demands: "See that justice is done, let mercy be your first concern, and humbly obey your God." Oh, what a weekend!

The Angeles Mesa Presbyterian Church (AMPC) Family gives thanks to God for another AMPC member Neema Cyrus-Franklin, serving the church as her vocation. After four years of seminary, passing rigorous Ordination written and oral examinations, on July 28, 2018 at the Stated Meeting of the Pacific Presbytery, Neema was examined by clergy and commissioners from throughout the 53 congregations, including Hawaii, and was unanimously approved and installed as the Stated Clerk of Pac...ific Presbytery.
