Hi Friends! I'm pleased to announce that the time has come and as of today, I signed the papers to my new office space! I'm re-opening my learning center and in no better location than the heart of Downtown Redding! EEK! If you, or someone you know, has a K-5th grade student in need of academic tutoring, please don't hesitate to share my information. I'm currently taking sign-ups for our Homework Club that will begin the week of February 22nd and will consist of curriculum... support and enrichment-based activities. Redding Friends: I am seeking some advice/feedback. I’m looking to reopen my learning center in the downtown Redding, but am gauging student family interest. Wh...at kinds of tutoring/academic support would you be interested in? I’m looking to start by offering 1:1 tutoring, daily drop-ins for homework help (by appointment and upon availability), or even a monthly membership for either a M/W and/or T/TH Homework Club. The monthly membership would consist of hour-long sessions with 2-3 different time slots to choose from. It would be a small group setting of no more than 10 kids at one time, socially distanced, and with hourly cleanings/sanitizing of desks and work spaces between students. Available for K-5th and some 6-8th grade level curriculum. Online and/or in-person services available. Would you, or someone you know, be interested in these services? Hope you are all safe, healthy, and staying cool in this beautiful summer heat It has been a crazy past few months with COVID and the recent transition for many of you to distance learning. With those sudden changes and loss in time for quality instruction and student support, don’t be stressed out about the thought that your child might not be ready for next year. I can help! Not only am I a credentialed teacher with sp...ecialized training in visual language processing, but for the past 5 years, I have been a virtual teacher for both middle school and K-5 homeschool students. This summer, I will be providing 1:1 and small group instruction ONLINE for K-6th grade students in reading and math. Due to COVID, I will NOT be offering in-person instruction. PRICING: 1:1 Private, 55-minute sessions = $30 Group sessions, 60-minute (3-4 students, same grade) = $15 per student ** 10% multiple sibling discount available SCHEDULING: Upon scheduling your student’s 1st round of sessions (4 sessions per round), your student will be required to complete a comprehensive diagnostic assessment in both reading and math. Once I receive your student’s assessment results, we will devise a plan completely tailored to meet your child’s learning style and academic needs! On average, I will recommend 2 sessions per week for the first 2 rounds of private instruction and then consider transitioning down to 1x per week based on your students level of support required at that point. Don’t let these past few months affect your child’s overall confidence and academic abilities as they prepare for the next grade level.
