A gray, cold day to hand out emergency food packages at the Colegio La Esperanza. Code Red has meant that the "sobre ruedas" (travelling markets) have been shut down which have left many Colonia La Esperanza neighbors without income and access to inexpensive food. The packages were made up by the State of Baja Califoronia. We just helped manage distribution.
The teachers are helping to make short promotional videos about the education and arts programs of the La Esperanza schools. This video was made by our kindergarten teacher Lizbeth Galindo and the ballet teacher Jorge Zamudio! I think they did a pretty good job
