Plumas County Stand Down Update: [Katina Pine] wanted to let you know we are still having the Plumas County Stand Down. [Katina Pine] worked with our County Pub...lic Health Department and informed them all the COVID 19 precautionary steps [Katina Pine] took to make the Event safe as possible for all who attend. We have been working all week to make this a safe and successful Stand Down. [Katina Pine] is implementing the following changes: If any Veteran is concerned about attending the event, has on-going medical issues, etc., Please still attend. You can arrive to the Event, show proof of your veteran status, and we will have volunteers get some needed information. Once the information is obtained, our volunteers will gather a Veteran Bag, military gear, Thanksgiving Basket if requested, and a meal for you to go. You DO NOT have to leave your vehicle. One Bag per Veteran. If you plan on attending Friday and wanted dental services, as of now, we do not have the Dental staff; however, as of now, we will on Saturday. You can come Friday, still go through the event including optometry, receive glasses, and come back Saturday. After the COVID check, you can go straight to the Dental Van. Our Stand Down is open to the public. We have clothing and other donations for you; however, only those who served in the military can receive the military gear. Today's observance of Veteran's day.

This year we will honor Veterans Day with an outdoor ceremony on Wednesday, November 11 at 11 a.m. This will be held at the Veterans Memorial Building, 205 W. First Street. Cloverdale WWII Veterans and local Veterans will be honored. The ceremony is sponsored by Cloverdale Post 293 Son’s of the American Legion. Please social distance and wear a mask.
