Ok, it's a day late but it was National Reptile Awareness Day yesterday so I thought I would share some of the gang (total of around 40 reptiles in my collection at AMCC and home). Starting with Rex, the Veiled Chameleon; the Cherry Head tortoise gang, Manny, Moe and Jack; Rugburn the Jungle Carpet Python; Kung Pao the Chinese Water Dragon; Flapjack the Pancake Tortoise; Vina (a serious Trekkie should figure that out) the Emerald Tree Monitor; Stickie Jone the Leachianus Gec...ko, biggest of all geckos; My Boy, BLUE! the Blue Tongued Skink and to close out the set, Tow Mater the Radiated Tortoise. Enjoy this non-partisan, COVID19 unrelated family safe, Karen free post!!! Stay safe and God bless. #nationalreptileawarenessday #reptilesofinstagram #lizardsofinstagram #snakesofinstagram #tortoisesofinstagram #turtlesofinstagram #leachianus #radiatedtortoises #pythonsofinstagram #carpetpython #pancaketortoise #bluetongueskink

Wow, what an incredible team!!! As National Vet Tech Week comes to a close, we , once again, want to thank all our vet techs, nurses, assistants and reception staff and veterinarians. It is this incredible team that makes it all work. Here we see Susie (with Mason in the oven). She's our Director of Medical Services and does much of the behind the scenes coordination at AMCC. Chipotle lunch was provided by Dr. Dominguez and it was yummy! Jenny brought in home made c...upcakes Then Dr. Code brought some Edible Arrangements and Dr Hsing brought it all home with Nothing Bundt Cakes . An incredible feast for an incredible team! May God bless all our incredible staff as they have blessed us soooooo much. More fun to follow as we move on to Halloween!!! #vettechlife #vettech #nationalvettechweek #nationalveterinarytechnicianweek #vetmed #vetlife #celebrate #amcofcorona #amc_of_corona #amcc #RVT #registeredveterinarytechnician

More fun as we continue National Vet Tech Week. Everyone got Starbucks, Lifesavers candies ('cause they are life savers!) and a "work world succ without you" succulent . Pictured are Summer and Jaiden placing an IV catheter, Erika A (Lil E) dosing medication, Nato and Brandi cleaning some ears, Kenny giving the camera the evil eye, Trula administering laser therapy for a bad back, Erika R about to abuse Dr. Bart AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST Zoe, who works that busy front desk and is going to school to be a RVT Registered Veterinary Technician. Zoe has been instrumental in organizing this week's celebration Thanks ZOE!!! #vettechlife #vettech #nationalvettechweek #nationalveterinarytechnicianweek #vetmed #vetlife #celebrate #amcofcorona #amc_of_corona #amcc #RVT #registeredveterinarytechnician

Happy Vet Tech Week to our awesome room nurses! Thank you Alexis, Jennie and Natalie! They bust their fannies to help your pets stay safe and healthy. (Coffee and donuts courtesy of ASPCA Pet Insurance, lunch from Rubio's today by Hill's Pet Nutrition not pictured as it was devoured before we could get a pic .) Our reception team had fun with some early Halloween costumes today. But, Alexis was able to tame some of those wild beasts during her break today!! #vettechlife #vettech #nationalvettechweek #nationalveterinarytechnicianweek #vetmed #vetlife #celebrate #amcofcorona #amc_of_corona #amcc

Happy Vet Tech Week to our awesome RVTs (Registered Veterinary Technicians) and all the rest of our nursing staff. Susie and Zoe show off opening day party favors. Dr. Hsing bought In and Out for them all. Today we recognize our RVTs, Erika, Nato (Natalie) and Gabi. They all work so hard to keep your pets as healthy and comfortable as possible. More to come over throughout the rest of the week!!! #vettechlife #vettech #nationalvettechweek #nationalveterinarytechnicianweek #vetmed #vetlife #celebrate

Never forget. 19 years ago today we were viciously attacked by a cowardly enemy. Approximately 3,000 people lost their lives including just over 400 first responders and 55 military personnel. Take the time today to say a prayer for them and their families. God bless all our first responders and never forget! #neverforget #911 #firstresponders #firstresponder #godblessamerica #godblesstheusa

We will be closed on Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day. We hope you and your furry family enjoy the holiday! Even though summer is almost over, remember these tips to keep your pet safe: - Heat kills! Never leave your pet in a car, even for a quick trip! On a sunny 70 degree day, your car can heat up to over 100 degrees in minutes. Hot asphalt will scorch your pet's paws-so if it's too hot for your bare feet, it's too hot for your pooch. - Don’t let your dog dr...ink seawater, lake water or river water. Water from the ocean can bring on vomiting and dehydration, while lake and river water are often full of bacteria and parasites that can cause illness. If there’s a bloom of blue-green algae, your pet could be at risk of liver failure and nervous system damage if they ingest it. - Even if your pet is on a tick preventative, it’s a good idea to check for these little dudes after being outdoors. They can jump from pets to people and carry nasty illnesses, including Lyme disease. See more
