Like many people, we will be staying in for New Year’s Eve. Our plans will be pretty mellow at home. I told the kids that they are welcome to stay up until midnight but I do not plan on joining them. Hannah tends to wake up at about 4 AM and I struggle to make it up past 8 PM. Maybe I can have a cup of coffee in the afternoon to keep me up for a movie and ice cream. What are your plans for New Year’s Eve? Any tips for the kids to enjoy the countdown?

I first met Amanda and Felipe at their maternity session last year. Amanda and I had hit it off immediately; within seconds! For their fall family session this year, I was fortunate to meet their adorable one-year-old son and Amanda's parents! Again, this was like I was hanging out with old friends. Enos Family Sunday picture is again being posted on a Monday! If you are like me, the days become a blur between Christmas and New Year's. We were happy to have had small Christmas celebrations with my mother and in-laws. I think we bit off more than we (Farmer J) can chew by gifting items that need to be put together. We may need to space things out better in the future with birthdays and Christmas, but the kids are happy to help. We are creating memories by doing projects together, correct?

Following Mandy and Jon's love story has brought so much joy into my heart! I have been photographing their family for years and this is my first time capturing their fall family portraits as an official FAMILY of three! Last year, the adoption of their son became final. Upper Bidwell Park is a special location for Julie and her children. They enjoy to hike in the park often and the park holds a special place in their hearts. Julie was hopeful to have their pictures taken here, but the smoke from the recent fires made capturing their session challenging. We had to reschedule their session multiple times, but the blue skies were worth the wait. Days before Kim and Tim's family session, Tim needed to have surgery. I was anticipating taking pictures of only Kim and Tim’s children; but when I arrived at the door, Tim was dressed and feeling up to a few family pictures. I know that this made their whole family happy to have Tim joining them for pictures! Christan and Justin are one of my favorite families to photograph because of how they make me feel. This picture of their daughter is an example of how their session felt. Happy Halloween from the 1950s and Princess Ariel! Although our Halloween looked a little different this year, it truly was fun to dress up and celebrate when opting out of participating seemed so easy. I LOVE family costumes, so when Yogi shared that he wanted to be a "motorcycle guy in a leather jacket" I knew that I could work with that. Fish had her costume planned out in advance, so I did not even try to convince her to join us. Hope you had a happy and safe holiday.

It is difficult for me to pinpoint exactly when and where we first met Janee and Scott. They are a well-loved family that is involved in the community. Their kindness and love for others come naturally to them and their family. They are the sweetest family (who arrived at their session looking amazing in their handsome coordinating wardrobes.). I cannot believe how big Monika and Jeff's children have gotten since I last photographed their family. They are still as beautiful and kind as ever. I love seeing the same families over the years. It has been a few years since Allison and Brad had their family picture taken. They were in need of an updated family picture to capture their quickly growing babies. Quarantine has made me join the 21st century. In the spring, I did my first Insta-cart delivery from Costco. Last month, I did my first Target drive-up shopping. I missed walking the aisles of Target, but having my order delivered to the trunk of my car was quite amazing!! I have already picked up Target orders a few more times! Welcome to 2020, Amber! Ashley and Greg have two handsome sons. They were so sweet to each other during our time together; I am sure they always get along this well. I still envisioned Janee and Scott's sons as boys, so you can imagine my shock when these tall and handsome young men stepped out of the truck! Real Life. Only Farmer J and B are doing as directed. Farmer J had the remote to the camera, so he was in charge of the shutter button and directing our crew. You would have thought that he said not to look at the camera because half of us are doing our own thing. Hannah blinked , but we'll keep it.

I am currently booking weddings for 2021 and 2022. You read that right, 2022 bookings are coming in. It may have been a crazy year, but love cannot be stopped and couples are getting married!
