Polar Bear Families with Swimmers Registered for July Practices: Thank you for registering your Polar Bear(s) for July 2020 Practices! We are excited to be back together, even under these strange circumstances. WE NEED YOUR HELP! Without your support and participation, we would not be able to hold practices for our swimmers during this unique time. We will need TWO parent volunteers at each practice to check people in as they arrive, and help perform a short health surv...ey. Additionally, with assistance from a Board Member, they will help to enforce the COVID guidelines on the deck during practice. Please take a moment to sign up for any of the following time frames that you could help with. Since we need so many volunteers, it would be so helpful if everyone could choose AT LEAST 2 time slots for each practice your swimmer(s) attends so we can make sure we are fully covered. July Practice Schedule - Please arrive 20 minutes early to allow time for the health screening: 11-12’s, 9-10’s, and 7-8’s Monday, Wednesday and every other Friday 13-14’s and 15-18’s Tuesday, Thursday and every other Friday.... M-W-Friday (July 10th/July 24th): 11-12 age group - 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM 9-10 age group - 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM 7-8 age group - 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM T-TH-Friday (July 17th/July 31st): 13-14 age group - 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM 15 to 18 age group - 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM *** 6 and under practices not offered ***

After the Board and Coaches presented a case to the City of Jackson, we were notified that we will be able to use the pool as long as we follow all Local, State, and Federal guidelines as they relate to COVID-19. Our expectation is to have the first practice on Monday, July 6th. The City has limited us to 3 hours/day 5 days/week. We will be operating with certain age groups on certain days so each age group will not swim every day. The number of swimmers allowed in the pool... is limited plus we have limitations on the availability of coaching staff. Registration will be open to the first 12 swimmers in each age group. The City will not open the pool to the public due to budgetary issues from the lack of tax revenue over the last few months. They are allowing us to use the pool based on competitive swimming being a controlled environment, and APB covering the cost to use the pool. Registration will start next week and the cost will be charged per month. It will only be open to returning swimmers ages 7 to 18. We plan to have practice in the mornings during July and August with no meets. We will be doing wellness checks on swimmers and parents prior to entering the deck area and will need volunteers to help with this. We will take the health guidelines seriously and they will be enforced on the deck.
