Swipe to see what traditional autumn drink cinnamon plays a role in Rumtopf, which literally means rum pot, is an Austrian, German, and Danish dessert of mixed fruit and alcohol traditionally eaten around Christmas. Our recipe is made from the Helm family recipe, brought over from Germany. We steep local fresh fruit in @amadordistillery Engine 49 Light Rum for over a year to produce a naturally sweetened liqueur. The profile is exactly what you think of when holiday pi...e pops into your head-indulgently sweet, fruity, and a bold cinnamon. Our favorite way to sip it? Similarly to port as an after-dinner/dessert drink, poured over ice cream , as an easy cocktail, or made into bread pudding or a syrup. We are excited to announce the *soft* re-opening of the Tasting Room! Since El Dorado County has moved to level orange, we will now be offering socially distanced outdoor tastings! Tours are still suspended until a full re-opening, but tastings are available by reservation and walk-in on a first come, first serve basis. Masks required in the shop and until until you reach your table. Please bear with us as we get used to our new set-up, but we look forward to welcoming you back!
