Meet Our Exec Team! Janelle is a 3rd year undergrad studying Cognitive Science and French. She is the Finance Associate - Treasurer/Secretary for Alternative Investments Society at Berkeley. Her interest in AIS stems in wanting an inclusive educational environment that can empower everyone -regardless of economic background- to invest and become financially secure. She hopes to make her mark as a co-founding member by establishing the club's name as part of the UC Berkeley community. There is much to look forward to in the creation of a new registered student organization. In her spare time she reads novels and makes themed Spotify playlists

Meet Our Exec Team! Yadira Rayo-Peñaloza (she/her/ella) is a Transfer and Senior at UC Berkeley studying Global Studies. She currently holds the position of Human Resources and Outreach for AIS and Chief of Staff for the ASUC Office of Transfer Representative. Yadira is also an intern for Raíces and a Mentor in the Starting Point Mentorship Program (SPMP). Because of her struggles as a transfer student, she is passionate about advocating for the transfer community and helping them find their place at Cal! She is interested in AIS because it is a transfer-friendly organization that provides students with professional development opportunities. Besides outreach, for fun, Yadira loves to organize, create events, go running, try new foods and sing to Jenni Rivera (La Gran Señora) and Ariana Grande (7 Rings)!

Meet Our Exec Team! Salma is a 4th-year undergraduate student from Santa Ana, California. She is majoring in English and is an associate of Marketing and PR at Alternative Investments Society at Berkeley. She is hoping to increase her knowledge of alternative investments as well as the finance industry. Salma is actively creating flyers to reach a larger audience as she wants to empower those who do not have a background in finance to become a part of AIS. In her free time, she enjoys writing poetry, watching tv sitcoms, and hopes to travel once it is safe to do so

Meet Our Exec Team! Catherine is the Head of Marketing and Public Relations for AIS. She has previous experience working in both marketing and finance, hence her decision to take on this particular executive role with AIS. Catherine is a senior graduating from UC Berkeley in May of 2021 with a degree in Media Studies. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, she has travelled around the world having lived in New Zealand, Australia, Dubai, and more. Now residing in Los Angeles, she plans to move up to San Francisco upon graduation where she will be working in the financial services industry
