This year has been filled with many ups and downs and uncertainties. But one virtue has remained a beacon of hope, kindness. One simple gesture can change the course for any person. I’m overwhelmed and amazed at our support for such a great cause during this difficult time. Our agency staff rallied together to make a difference for a couple local families through our support of the Boys & Girls Club of Vista’s Adopt a Family Program! Santa delivered a sleigh filled with toys and presents today for the families to put a smile on everyone’s face during the holiday season. Thank you to my AVIA family for making a difference in someone’s life and creating positive change for our community.

As you know, a National Emergency has been declared over COVID-19. In response, we have fully implemented our business continuity plan to seamlessly remain ready to meet both you and your clients' needs while doing our part in trying to prevent the spread of the corona virus. Alta Vista Insurance is an "essential business" that has taken necessary steps during this crisis in order to maintain our ability to conduct business and provide other required consumer services for ins...ureds in a reasonable and timely manner. We do not anticipate any business interruptions. We will be open 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Our office will not close unless ordered by government agencies. The Commissioner made the request to ensure policies are not cancelled for nonpayment of premium due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) public health emergency. Taking care of our clients, our staff and our community is our top priority. I am proud to see that our industry is taking the necessary steps to provide financial relief to consumers and business owners throughout California. Here's my blog post about the latest orders from the California Department of Insurance. I also included the official bulletins from the Commissioner. Consumers! It’s important to contact your agent or insurance company and inquire about the steps each company is taking to implement their refunds to policyholders. Every company is implementing their own plan and they have up to 120 days from the order to comply with the CA Dept of Insurance.
