KRAFT HOUSE is an outdoor, socially distanced, group seating event combining crafting, live art, and music. Allthethingzz Space has been working hard over the last 5 months to revamp our traditional layout to meet CDC guidelines, allowing us to safely host this new *creative experience*. There’s a strong connection between creativity and risk taking. In fact, one of the hardest things about creativity is that it requires taking risks. Risk means there’s always an element of uncertainty when it comes to creating. Uncertainty, can evoke feelings of fear, worry and self-doubt; but it doesn’t have to. . Joy is the only interactive art installation I have ever brought to Burning Man. Making Joy and getting her to the playa required a lot of risk taking. The risks... I took and lessons I learned throughout the process make her one of my most significant pieces of work to date. One of these lessons being how to be more in control of my feelings of fear and self-doubt when faced with unexpected uncertainties. . Right now, all across the world, we are facing a lot of uncertainty. It can feel scary and overwhelming if we let it, but I encourage you to have hope, remember you are not alone, and to embrace the mantra of our sweet Joy Pony It’s not the circumstance that creates joy, it’s you . .
