All Stars Cricket Club wins another Championship as conquer Bay Area Cricket Alliance winning Summer T45 (2020) season in style; registering 9 wins out of 11 games. Afghan Zwanan All Stars participated in BACA T45 league for the first time and brought home this silverware, lead by Nawaz Khan and supported by Wakas Haider in his absence.... Wakas Haider finished runners up in the MVP table, #9 in overall runs getter and #1 in outfielders. Congratulations to the club for this huge achievement! Until the next trophy ....

[09/13/2020] 1-wicket win led by all round performances of Waqas Haider and Nawaz Khan ensures Afghan Zwanan ALL STARS stays TOP of the table in their Division with only 2 games to play for. After losing the toss and given bowling, All Stars started strongly with 2 wickets in very first over (courtesy Nawaz). Richmond Lions build their innings strong and always had Run rate on their side as they cruised to 190/7 in just 30 overs mark; before Waqas Haider came back from the br...eak and got rid of the tail picking up 3 crucial wickets and pinning them down to 190. In batting, All Stars had a solid start with a quick 35/0 in 4 overs before losing two back to back wickets and then a third one shortly after, which introduced Waqas to the crease. However, partnerships were an issue as wickets continued to crumble as All Stars went from 61/2 to 100/6 in 16.4 overs. With a lot of overs left and 91 runs to go, Waqas and Nawaz combined again, this time with the bat scoring a crucial 60-run partnership to put them back in the driving seat only for Omer Raja and Esa Kunari to finish things off in just under 26 overs. This was also his 4th MoM performance in just 8 games. League Standings (Players): Waqas Haider (#1) and Nawaz Khan (#2) also are top 2 MVP players in the Bay Area Cricket Alliance league in the season currently with Waqas Haider (#1) leading the batting charts with 279 runs in the season; and Nawaz not far behind with 200 runs and also 11 wickets to his name. Hat-trick is a rare feat and we had 2 Hat-trick heroes on the same weekend, Darwish Zabit and Rehmanullah Safi. Zabit finished with figures of 4.2-0-9-4 in a T45 game against TMCC. Unfortunately, Afghan Zwanan All Stars ended up losing a close game ; but our Hat-trick hero got these three wicket = Bowled, LBW and Caught behind (WK), respectively. RehmanUllah starred for Afghan Zwanan All Stars T20 team with a 5-wicket haul which included 4 Clean Bowled against Phoenix CC. He ...finished with mind blowing figures of 2.1-1-5-5 . After being asked to bowl first, Sheryar start right on the money picking up early breakthroughs with Majid M stepping in as well and getting rid of most of the batting line up. In batting, ~100 run partnership between Wakas and Samir Essa was enough to secure them a comfortable victory before Darwish Zabit stepped in and finishe...d the game quickly with a blistering 42-run knock off 17 balls. CA Rhinos, chasing 158 in 45 overs, were cruising at 132/4 in 30 overs when Sheryar Khan, Rehman and Nawaz Khan dealt crucial blows before Mohammadesa Kunari finished the job for Afghan Zwanan All Stars by cleaning up the tai...l. 7 wickets were taken in the span of 7 overs giving away 17 runs.
