"We will explore the Constitutional status of voting as a fundamental right, as well as the legislative status of the Voting Rights Act. The next federal election will be Tuesday, November 3, 2020. It will include voting for president and vice-president, one-third of the Senate, and all of the House of Representatives. State and local races will also be on the ballot in many areas. The deadline to register online to vote is Monday, October 19, 2020. The deadline for registering by mail to vote is (postmarked by) Monday, October 19, 2020. The deadline to register in person to vote is Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Conditional voter registration is a safety net for Californians who miss the deadline to register to vote or update their voter registration information.
The Washington Post recently posted an article on psychological first aid. "If ever there were a time for people to know the important skills that make up what mental health experts refer to as psychological first aid (PFA), a pandemic is it." Mental Health America recently published their suggestions on how public health workers can combat their frustrations and mental health challenges during COVID-19.
October 10 is the World Health Organization's World Mental Health Day. Good mental health is related to mental and psychological well-being. WHO’s work to improve the mental health of individuals and society at large includes the promotion of mental well-being, the prevention of mental disorders, the protection of human rights and the care of people affected by mental disorders.
