Your All About Pets family has experienced a devastating loss of our beloved owner Doctor Dawn Alves. Our hearts are heavy as we remember how Dawn touched the lives of everyone she met, human and animal alike. She was a leader, teacher and inspiration to all of us. We hope to keep her name and life's work thriving. We do want to ensure not only our clients, but also our friends, that we will be staying open to keep Dawn’s legacy alive. Maintaining the health and well-being of our patients is our number one priority. We do ask for patience as our staff try to navigate through this incredibly hard time.

What clients should do when they arrive at the hospital: Please park in one of the spaces near the hospital. Call the office (530-342-0725) and provide them with your name, your pet’s name and a description of your vehicle. Please remain in your vehicle with your animal. A team member will discuss your needs by phone when you arrive.... If you have a scheduled appointment the pre-examination history will be collected by a staff member over the phone or we will come out to your car At the end of the conversation, a staff member will come to the parking lot to bring your pet into the building for their examination. Please ensure that all dogs have a leash attached to a snugly fitted collar or harness on prior to our staff member arriving at your vehicle. Please have all cats inside a carrier. If your animal needs to stay with us for longer than your appointment block for additional diagnostics (ultrasound, x-rays, blood work etc) you can wait in the parking lot until these diagnostics have been performed or you can opt to return later in the day to collect your pet. Once the care of your animal is complete, the discharge process will be discussed, the invoice total will be provided, and credit card information or payment will be collected. Then your pet, an itemized invoice, receipt and any medication dispensed will be brought by a staff member to your vehicle. Please remain in your vehicle during the entirety of your visit. These policies likely will need to be adjusted as the situation related to COVID-19 changes over the coming weeks and months. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call. We will continue to provide compassionate and exceptional veterinary care. We can assure you that the entire All About Pets team is fully committed to safely caring for your beloved family members during this tumultuous time. Your AAPVH Family See more

We are also offering for our established current senior clients living in chico free delivery of your pets medications and prescription pet foods Monday-Friday. Dear Friends: Due to ongoing concerns about COVID-19, All About Pets Veterinary Hospital is taking additional precautionary measures to help keep our clients, patients, hospital team and community safe while still providing the high quality medical care you have come to expect. AAPVH will continue to provide compassionate and exceptional care for your pets. As you know we have always provided a safe and clean environment for your pets, but we are taking additional cleaning... and sanitizing measures for the safety of everyone who comes to AAPVH. We ask that if you are not feeling well to please call and reschedule your appointment at a later point. If you prefer not to come into the building, whether it be for an appointment or to pick up medications or pet food, just call us from your car and a team member will come out and get your pet or deliver your items. We are limiting both the cat and dog lobbies to two people at a time. We will have you either call and let us know you are here or come in to check in, and then wait in your vehicle until the doctor is ready to see your pet. You can also enjoy the convenience of having medications and prescription foods delivered directly to your door by ordering through our online store, if you need assistance with ordering on line please let us know and we will be happy to assist you. These are difficult times for everyone and we apologize for any inconvenience due to wait times for appointments or delayed order times. We care deeply about you, your pets, and the community around us, and want to do everything we can to minimize the spread of this virus. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or if we can be of any assistance. We WILL get through this! Sincerely, All About Pets Veterinary Hospital Team
