This is just another example why my kids are outdoors everyday. :) "Hiking Outdoors Can Improve ADHD in Children Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is becoming more and more common among children. Children who have ADHD have a difficult time with impulse control and staying focused, get distracted easily, and exhibit excessive hyperactivity.... While raising children who have ADHD can be difficult for parents, the usual solution opting for prescription medication may be doing more harm than good, particularly when natural solutions can work just as well. A study conducted by Frances E Kup, PhD, and Andrea Faber Taylor, PhD, found that exposing children with ADHD to green outdoor activities reduces symptoms significantly. The results of this study suggest nature exposure can benefit anyone who has a difficult time paying attention and/or exhibits impulsive behavior."

This was made nine years ago. It’s so cute. Hailey graduated in 2015. Dominic is on his first week at UCSC. Harmonee will be a Senior. Angel & Riley will be Sophomores. Anjali, Iliana & Justin are in the eighth grade. Today Daniel the youngest registered for Park Middle School.

Adventures in Fun & Fitness Drop-In Recreation Camp! It's free for school-aged children. 10:00am to 1:00pm. On Tuesdays at City Park, Wednesdays at Contra Loma Estates Park, Thursdays at Prosserville Park. Let our GREAT Recreation Staff give your kids a summer camp experience.

City Council has invested in creating youth activities this summer. Please share this information so that our kids who say they are bored at home know there are fun options out of the house at our parks.

This is so true. We are at different parks every day and my kids will tell you I ask them "Where are all the kids? Kids need to run and play and experience nature. Antioch has 32 parks you could go to a different park everyday for a month. If you don't like a traditional park we have convenient access to the East Bay Regional Park District lands. We truly are blessed to live here. Take your kids to the park.
